Maryland Madness Basketball

It is expected that each parent will provide volunteer services to the organization at some point during the year. The overall time commitment is not great but volunteers are essential to making Maryland Madness a high quality youth basketball organization. At a minimum, all team parents are expected to assist (usually between 2-4 hours) with the fundraising tournaments we host at Thanksgiving and in the Spring. Volunteer responsibilities will be assigned by team and include scorekeeping/timekeeping, concessions, clean-up/set-up, and admissions. In addition, each team has a volunteer team parent(s) to assist the coach with administrative tasks such as team finances, scheduling, travel arrangements, etc. Additional opportunities to volunteer include board positions and providing services such as accounting, web site design, or legal services to the organization.
