Maryland Madness, Inc. is a 1998 incorporated not-for-profit
While the corporation charges a base participant's fee (usually not more than $150-$250 per player per season), the corporation actively seeks tax deductible donations from individuals, companies and other entities (e.g. foundations) to help underwrite a substantial part of the significant programming costs and to provide free or partially subsidized entry of qualified student/athletes into its programs. Without such subsidization, the costs of team registrations, uniforms, gym time, camps, league fees, tournament entry fees and travel (where applicable) can run to more than $2,000 per family on an annual basis. However, Maryland Madness has been successful in the past in obtaining and will continue to actively seek donations and gifts of services/products to defray a large portion of this per family expense.
Maryland Madness also seeks corporate sponsors where such involvement can be used to achieve brand, product, or image enhancement of corporate objectives. We are equipped to help conceptualize, develop and implement such initiatives.
Since inception, Maryland Madness teams have placed at or near the top of the leagues and tournaments in which our teams have participated. Teams have also traveled nationwide for select national and regional tournaments and performed very well. While it is satisfying when our teams win, our principal objective is to provide our players with the most competitive basketball environment possible along with outstanding coaching so that boys and girls can advance to play and excel at the next level, high school basketball.
